Since the Scheffle-Damast-Flex is not a *100% stainless material, should be observed some tips to have long pleasure in the damask blade. The knife should not be exposed to moisture or acids for an extended period of time. A damask knife should NEVER be put in the dishwasher. Aggressive cleaning additives and high water temperature will only damage the blade. After use, the knife should be cleaned by hand with lukewarm water and mild detergent and then dry thoroughly. When not in use for a long time, you can preserve the blade with a few drops of acid-free oil.
