The Active Carbon Filter of Wellsan is one of the few passive filters that produces alkaline (7~9 pH), antioxidant and also oxygenated water. Furthermore, the filter system manufactured by Wellsan achieves up to 99% pollutant reduction in water.

Note: Depending on the mineral composition of the water, the ionization performance may vary. Therefore, a high ionization performance cannot always be guaranteed, which is why a low to very low pH value and/ or a redox value in the plus range are also possible.

First, the finest particles are retained by a super-fine nonwoven fabric pad, then the water passes through the filter mixture, which consists of tiny activated carbon beads and ion exchangers. The activated carbon beads are made of natural coconut shells and retain especially chlorine and other odor and taste disturbing substances. The ion exchangers reduce the lime content of the water.

The filter change is only every 2 months.

This protects the environment. Water is often bought in the cheap disposable plastic bottle. However, this convenience leaves traces in the environment. Because water from the plastic bottle causes mountains of plastic waste. Worldwide, approximately 89 billion liters of water are filled in plastic bottles every year. 80 percent of these bottles are not recycled. In addition, the production of a plastic bottle consumes an extremely large amount of energy and clean water. From an ecological point of view, the production of disposable plastic bottles for drinking water is absolutely unreasonable. With the Wellsan carafe, you produce quality water and contribute to the environment to boot. Because the carafe works with a single filter cartridge.
